Poetry came unbidden while Sharon Mendelson explored the natural world, and
through that meditative practice came she closer to the spirit behind the place.
“These poems seemed to fall from nowhere, fully formed, into my awareness.
I repeated them to myself as I walked home so as to not forget them along the
way. Later they were polished and recorded, then tucked them away. It was
only after I realized that I had accumulated quite a few poems that I thought to
share them with others.”
Mendelson paired her written work with that of her photographs in the hope that
the combination of expressions will be of value to others.
